Jarvis Sam is the Global Diversity Initiatives Manager at Snap, Inc. In that role, he oversees the recruiting, partnerships, and programmatic infrastructure for the company’s various D&I initiatives for both business and technical capacities. Prior to Snap, Inc. Sam worked as a diversity recruiter at Google primarily focused on hiring military veterans and strong female talent to the company. He also worked at Deloitte Consulting in Houston. Dr. Yutao He is a Senior Research Technologist at NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) leading technology development of innovative avionics systems for future space exploration. At JPL Dr. He has mentored over 60 interns from Caltech, UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, etc.
Dr. He is an adjunct faculty member at UCLA and CSU-LA. Dr. He is President/co-founder of LEAP Career Development Forum and President-elect of Tsinghua University Alumni Association of Southern California. Dr. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.”

During the 20 years, he has worked in China, he served as the Commercial Minister Counselor in the US Embassy in Beijing, as Vice President with Nortel Networks, as well as consulting with the Haier Group and Mengniu Dairy Group. Mr. Hendryx’s consulting career began with the Boston Consulting Group and Bain and Company, assisting Fortune 500 clients with key strategic decisions. Steve currently serves as Sr. Vice President of Henry Global Consulting, the world’s leading immigration investment agency.
Angela Efros — Vice President at HG Plus
Angela started her career in China as a volunteer English teacher in Changsha, then started her own online channel and marketing platform to use humor and entertainment to teach English and American culture. She became a mini-celebrity in Changsha, often performing on TV programs around the country including 汉语桥 (China Bridge), 花儿 朵朵 (blossoming flowers), and 超级女声(Super Girl), just to name a few. After a blossoming career in entertainment, Angela started working with American toy manufacturers who owned factories in China while simultaneously completing her MBA. In 2016, Angela was instrumental in the launch of the year’s best-selling plush, an instant hit toy that took advantage of Angela’s creativity for its ingenious viral YouTube video marketing strategy. Angela now works as Vice President for HG Plus, where her purpose is to help Chinese students at US Universities to find excellent internship and job opportunity in the United States. She believes that young talent in the right job can bridge cultures and change the world.
