Marketing and Design Coordinator


It is a varied role that includes planning, advertising, design, public relations, event organization, distribution, sponsorship and research.

The Marketing and design coordinator overlooks and plans trade shows and roadshows with the Business development manager. Everything the marketing and design coordinator does works towards gaining greater market share, in one correct goal direction, explores new markets, and concentrates on brand positioning.

Typical work activities can involve:

  • Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships
  • Increasing market share through visual merchandising
  • Increasing and growing the revenue through the website
  • Brand design and updating advertisements to local market
  • Exploring other markets
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press – local, regional, national and specialist publications – or on the radio, depending on the organization and the campaign
  • Managing and creating marketing materials
  • Arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Organizing and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies
  • Managing budgets
  • Evaluating marketing campaigns & monitoring competitor activity
  • Working closely with sales trainer to correlate a cohesive plan on how to transfer the marketing ideas and how to use it to the sales consultants


  • A college level degree in either marketing, design, Management or advertising
  • Must have fluent English and must be able to speak and read Chinese
  • Has had postgraduate marketing experience in creating campaigns
  • Has had postgraduate marketing experience in setting goals and meeting targets
  • Understands the USA market especially the Chinese and Asian demographics
  • Have retail or sales experience
  • Has design flair and skills
  • Has had postgraduate marketing experience in picking a product mix
  • Must have basic skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft software
  • Has a reliable and excellent work ethic
  • Has a proven track record of leadership and has had experience of leading a team
